Genre Slips allow you to:

organize music by genre (as opposed to alphabetically); |

create mini-sections within your larger collection (i.e. create a small “Classical,” “Rap” or “Ska” section within your larger “Pop/Rock” collection); |

group titles that do not lend well to alphabetization (i.e. “Dance/Party,” “Relaxation,” “Self-Improvement,” etc.); |

organize DVDs (“Drama,” “Comedy,” etc.); |
|
organize work CDs (i.e. “Return to Client,” “Clip Art,” etc.); and
organize CDs that you burn yourself. |
Artist Slips group larger numbers of artist CDs into their own sections, making both artist and letter categories smaller and easier to access. There are hundreds of all-time best-selling artists and bands to choose from. Each Artist Slip contains either a discography or biographical notes on the artist on one side, and indicates how the artist is filed according to the music industry on the other.
The Artist Slip category is constantly growing, reflecting artist discography rather than popularity. As a general rule, Artist Slips are created for artists with seven or more highly successful releases over an extended period of time.
